First month, first post

The first post of this blog coincides with the first month of baby EL being born. w00t. Well, not quite the first month and more like 28 days, which also marks the end of my wife's confinement period. (The Chinese believe that women who give birth must observe 28 days of doing and eating certain things. For instance, no bathing from the tap or coming into contact with cold tap water. Women who give birth must also eat certain foods to build their strength and energy, which have been lost through the birth process and transferred to the baby.)

So how much more auspicious does the start of this blog need to be? Hmm hmm? Maybe this blog will finally last more than 6 months. Also, in contrast to past blogging attempts I actually have a list of things to write about. How professional is that? I mean, seriously, I am cool.

Okay let me just say first off that this blog is really meant for 3 people. El, my wife and me. Doubt anyone else will get to read this, unless I advertise it through my other blog, which is decently read.

Its really for me to pen my thoughts as a first time father, the stuff I've learnt (and its amazing what your kid can teach you about multi-tasking and life in general) and for me to read this stuff when i get my second. Hopefully, this can be reused in some form and be published into a book, and I can make lots of money muahahhaha.

Right.

Well, I'll just end here. For now. Be back tomorrow with the first real post about having a baby.
